Requirements for Set up a Company in Thailand
Foreign entrepreneurs and established companies face the following regulatory requirements when registering in Thailand.
Business address
A registered business address in Thailand is required by law. You can use our office address as your company's virtual or registered address to satisfy this requirement.
Director
At least one director is required. There are no nationality restrictions. Any foreign national can serve as a director of a Thai Company Limited.
Shareholders
A minimum of two shareholders are required at incorporation. We advise on the right structure and suggest approaches to achieve your desired ownership.
Registered capital
Capital requirements depend on your business structure. For international corporate structure, a standard setup typically starts at 2M THB in registered capital.
Corporate Account
Required to operate your business in Thailand. We prepare all documents and coordinate directly with our dedicated team to ensure a smooth account opening.
Tax & VAT registration
Corporate income tax registration is required at incorporation. VAT registration is mandatory once annual revenue exceeds 1.8M THB and can be registered voluntarily before that threshold.
Other licenses & permits

Common questions before getting started
Can a foreigner own 100% of a Thai Company Limited?
Yes, in certain structures. Under a standard Thai Company Limited, foreign ownership is generally capped at 49%. However, full foreign ownership (100%) is possible through BOI promotion, the Treaty of Amity (US nationals), or by registering an Export Company. During your consultation, we assess which route suits your business and goals.
Do I need to be in Thailand to register my company?
No. The entire registration process, from consultation to completion, is handled remotely. The only step that requires your physical presence in Thailand is the account opening, which we coordinate and accompany you through.
How long does registration take?
Once all documents are submitted, the process is typically confirmed within 7 to 14 business days. The overall timeline from initial consultation to completion depends on how quickly documents are provided. We make this as straightforward as possible with a clear checklist from day one.
What is the minimum registered capital?
While Thailand does not actually impose a fixed minimum registered capital for a standard Company Limited, a starting amount of 1M THB is generally recommended. For corporate structures involving international directors or those looking to establish a standard commercial setup for overseas personnel, the typical regulatory framework starts at a minimum of 2M THB in registered capital
Can I use a virtual office as my registered address?
Yes. A registered business address is required by Thai law for company registration. We offer a virtual office service starting at 17,000 THB per year.
What happens after my company is registered?
